North Idaho Towing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have, including how text messaging (SMS) works when you contact us or request roadside services.
By using our website (https://northidahotow.com), calling our dispatch line, requesting service, or messaging us, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Information We Collect
- Contact information you provide: name, mobile phone number, email, pickup and drop-off addresses, and vehicle details.
- Service details: type of assistance requested (tow, jump start, lockout, etc.), notes, photos you choose to send, and approximate location (including GPS if you share it for dispatch).
- Payment information: handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store full card numbers, CVV, or expiration dates on our servers.
- Call & message records: phone numbers, timestamps, message contents, and (where disclosed) call recordings or transcripts of calls handled by our AI answering system.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, and basic analytics from cookies or similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Dispatch tow trucks and roadside assistance.
- Send transactional updates (driver assigned, ETA, arrival, completion).
- Process payments and send receipts or secure payment links.
- Respond to inquiries, support requests, and complaints.
- Improve safety, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
- Maintain internal records, including audit logs of dispatch activity.
3. SMS Communications Policy
North Idaho Towing uses SMS messaging to coordinate towing and roadside assistance services. This policy is provided in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles & Best Practices, and our messaging provider’s (Twilio) requirements.
Program Description
North Idaho Towing sends operational SMS messages relating to towing and roadside assistance. Customers may receive SMS messages related to:
- Towing dispatch and service assignment
- Roadside assistance coordination
- Driver ETA updates
- Location-sharing requests
- Payment authorization links
- Service status updates
Consent / Opt-In
The customer SMS opt-in keyword is START. You may opt in by:
- Texting START to our dispatch number.
- Checking the SMS consent box on our request-help form and submitting your mobile number.
- Verbally confirming on a call with dispatch that you want SMS updates for your active service request.
After opting in, you will receive a confirmation message describing message frequency, rates, and how to get help or opt out.
Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase. You may instead request voice-only communication.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on the active service request. You will only receive messages relevant to your current or recent service request.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We do not charge a fee for our messages.
Opt-Out (STOP)
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message from us. You will receive a single confirmation message, and we will not send further SMS messages to that number except to confirm the opt-out. To opt back in later, reply START. If you opt out during an active service request, we may need to reach you by voice call to complete the dispatch.

Supported Carriers
Messaging is supported on major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy and Data Protection
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information shared with our messaging provider (Twilio) is used solely to deliver the messages you have requested.
North Idaho Towing uses secure third-party payment processors and will never request full credit card information by SMS or through the AI phone system. Payment links sent via SMS direct you to secure, encrypted payment pages.
Nature of Communications
SMS communication is operational and customer-service related only. Messages are sent for the purpose of coordinating towing and roadside assistance services.North Idaho Towing does not use SMS for promotional marketing.

4. Phone Calls and AI Answering
When you call our dispatch line, your call may be answered by a human dispatcher or by our AI answering system. Calls may be recorded for quality, safety, training, and dispatch accuracy. You will hear a disclosure at the start of recorded calls, consistent with Idaho’s one-party consent law. Sensitive payment information such as full card numbers, CVV, and expiration dates is automatically redacted from stored transcripts.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as needed to deliver service:
- Tow operators and drivers assigned to your request, who receive the minimum information needed to reach you.
- Service providers that operate our messaging (Twilio), payments (Stripe), AI answering, mapping (Google Maps), and infrastructure (Supabase / cloud hosting), under contracts that restrict their use of your data.
- Law enforcement or other parties when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of people or property.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Data Retention
We retain dispatch and messaging records for as long as needed to provide service, resolve disputes, meet accounting and tax requirements, and comply with applicable laws. You can request deletion of records that are not subject to a legal hold (see Your Rights below).
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), role-based access controls, row-level security in our database, and PCI-compliant payment handling. No system is perfectly secure; you use the service at your own risk.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by emailing dispatch@northidahotow.com.
- California, Colorado, Virginia, and certain other state residents may have additional rights under their state privacy laws, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
